AFPPI:
Association Francaise pour la Protection Passive Contre L’Incendie,
brings together the manufacturers and importers of materials, products
and systems for passive protection against fire – manufacturers,
applicators designers - as well as trade unions, associations or groups
representing manufacturers. Associate members include; consultants,
business associations and groups with a professional link with the passive
protection industry.The
AFPPi aims to: promote techniques of passive protection against
fire, defend the general interests of the professions represented, to
represent its members with government and professional and technical
organizations, national and international testing laboratories, inspection
bodies, standards committees, government bodies.

AFITI: The Spanish Association for the Promotion of
Research and Fire Safety Technology, is expert in the study of the functioning
of active fire protection elements (extinguishers, hoses, hose reels,
etc.) as well as experts in fire behaviour of many products used in
construction (doors, coatings, ducts, etc.). AFITI also covers those
needs that the sector may have on research and improvement of products
or systems and advice compliance with current legislation on fire.
In June of 2007 AFITI joint as full member to the European Group Efectis,
in order to offer a greater service to their customers. This addition
enhances the exchange of knowledge, expertise and services between these
entities which allows us to give am adequate replay to the needs of
our customers on Fire Safety, with the best technical and human resources
and its extensive experience.

ANPI: Unanimously recognized worldwide player in fire
prevention, ANPI takes a leading role in the fields of regulation and
normalization, testing of active protection equipments and systems;
certification of products, systems and related services; inspection
of fire and intrusion protection installations, audits and information.

CSTB
The future in construction
CSTB (Scientific and Technical Centre for Building) is a public institution
dedicated to innovation in building, and it performs four key activities:
research, expertise, assessment and dissemination of knowledge, structured
appropriately to respond to the sustainable development challenge within
the construction world. Its field of competence covers construction
products, buildings and their integration into districts and towns.
Thanks to its 850 employees, its subsidiaries and its networks of French,
European and international partners, CSTB offers its services to all
construction stakeholders with a view to enhancing quality and safety
in buildings.

CTICM, established in 1962 on behalf of SCMF (French
Steel Construction Federation), is a privately owned public utility,
whose mission is to promote technical advancement, productivity and
quality in steel construction industry. It is the privileged partner
of the steel constructors.
CTICM contributes to the technological advancement of steel design and
construction, in compliance with European technical and environmental
regulations.
Its expertise is demonstrated through its contributions to the traditional
activities of steel and composite construction, and fire safety.
CTICM also provides a standardization service for steel construction.
In addition, CTICM offers services in relation to design consultancy,
certification (CE marking), technical assistance, dissemination of technical
information and continuing professional development.
Concerning fire safety, CTICM’s areas of expertise are the following:
• Research and consultancy concerned with application and verification
of the fire resistance of structures;
• Numerical modelling of the behaviour of steel and composite
structures exposed to fire, e.g. car parks, warehouses, public buildings;
• Fire safety engineering applied to steel construction.

EFSN: The European Fire Sprinkler Network is a fire-safety
coalition of those who wish to see an improvement in European fire safety
through the wider use of fire sprinklers. It has members from 16 European
countries. Among them are fire services, insurers, laboratories, fire
protection associations, fire trade associations, consultancies, sprinkler
manufacturers and installers. By sharing information and ideas we seek
to make the fire safety sector more aware of the benefits of sprinklers,
a fire safety tool that is underused in Europe. For information about
the EFSN, the performance of sprinklers and where they are mandated
in Europe see www.eurosprinkler.org
EFECTIS Grouping : Efectis grouping is a network of
European official fire laboratory from France (Efectis France), The
Netherlands (Efectis Nederland), Spain (Afiti) and Norway (NBL) dealing
with Fire safety services like fire resistance, reaction to fire active
fire protection, as well as certification with the fifth member, the
notified body CTICM . This European Efectis grouping is the promotion
of around 200 engineers and technicians working on fire safety. By cumulating
data information, knowledge, and many years of experience, Efectis brings
you the answer you need on fire safety, and delivers consultancy, testing,
inspection, certification and engineering for your project of construction
as well as your product or system characterization, and thus for nuclear,
maritime, transportation, tunnel , industrial or building construction.
